TERMS OF REFERENCE
The Award
The “Gail Neilson” Motor Maid of the Year Award recognizes a current member for her exceptional service to Atlantic Canada Motor Maids over a 12-month period (November 1 to October 31) in supporting the principles of the Motor Maids and those of the Atlantic Canada District by:
· Preserving our history
· Supporting our traditions
· Presenting a positive image of women motorcyclists through role modelling and mentoring
The award will be presented at the Atlantic Canada District’s annual year-end meeting.
Frequency
It is awarded on an annual basis by the District Director in consultation with Assistant District Directors. Individual members may also nominate a member for the award.
Criteria
The exceptional service of a candidate may be the result of a single project or activity, or the accumulation of efforts through consistent involvement over a long period of time in supporting the principles of Motor Maids and those of the Atlantic Canada District.

To nominate an individual for this award, members should send a brief description of why they feel an individual should be considered to the District Director, using the form below.
