Jennifer's on a 4 month international motorcycle adventure

ACMM Jennifer Butt is on an adventure of a lifetime.  She and Abe left Halifax on their bikes in late September, with four months of free time and dreams of extraordinary adventures.  From her FB comments and some of Abe's, it appears dreams are coming true.  We're excited and proud to have you as a sister, Jen!

September 27, (Interview in Halifax)

Where are you going on your motorbikes?
“We’re about to ride down to Panama on our bikes from Halifax. We’re going to attempt to travel as far south as you can by land.”

How long is it going to take?
“We’ve got four months set aside, but we’ve got no schedule to keep, which is probably one of the biggest joys of all of it."

How are you feeling right now?
“Excited, and nervous, and short of breath.”

If anything, what do you hope to learn from this experience?
“How to maintain this kind of lifestyle for as long as possible.”

Today's the day! Near the end of the Blue Ridge Parkway I hit my 10,000km for the season, high Rollin!!

We are currently in Guatemala leaving tomorrow to head to the beach in El Salvador. This picture was taken at sunrise when we were camping in Mexico!

This one goes out to my sister Motor Maids and actually all other female riders. Serendipitously as I crossed the border to Nicaragua I rolled over 20,000 km for the year. Let me tell you the last 3000 have been a test of my strength as a rider, as a human, and as a woman, and if I do say so myself I friggin nailed it.

From Abe:  I've had the privilege of riding alongside this woman for 3/4 of that journey, and in that time I've seen her do some pretty extraordinary things with that motorcycle. Navigating the insanity of Acapulco, dodging chicken buses on switchbacks in Guatemala, and braving storms and gale-force winds on the Blue Ridge Parkway simply to name a few. All the while keeping her cool, and looking fabulous. She's been an inspiration to ride with, and she's proved to everyone, from Alabama to Zacatecas, what an amazing rider, and human, she is. Congratulations on a motorcycling milestone.
